Executive Director
Gerald Dzawo has been involved in youth and family ministry for over 30 years. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Gerald attended university in the US before returning to Zimbabwe for ministry work. Gerald has extensive experience working with international and local mission agencies and uses this experience and connection to facilitate partnerships in the work and ministry of YouthWorld Africa.
Gerald is currently pastoring a church in Iowa while overseeing the work happening in Zimbabwe and being a resource magnet. Gerald's passion is to see young people live out their lives in service to God and believes that this can be achieved by restoring hope to the hopeless in Africa.
Country Director
John Wayne C. Kennedy would tell you his mission in life is to be the catalyst that helps unlock God's embedded greatness in people. John Wayne has over 23 years of experience working with teens and young adults. The last 13 years his focus of work has been in the areas of nutrition, education, entrepreneurship, Leadership development and coaching. John Wayne holds qualifications in youth ministry, poultry management, organisation management, mental health, Addiction support and currently working on his master's in aquaculture.
John Wayne is Married to Tarryn Lee and they have 2 Children Raeghan-Joy and Israel-John.
Program Director
Tino Mawadza, is a husband and a father to 2 children, he is a youth pastor and been in involved in youth ministry for over 15 years. Gave his life 13 years ago and immediately was stuck into serving as a youth leader. His passion for youth ministry grew and got involved with a youth ministry organization that runs camps, schools missions and schools ministry and today he is the director. Tino, thrives on seeing young men and woman grow in Jesus and in their gifts, he has a heart for growing leaders and runs leadership development camps for schools.
